Far from the Tree is a documentary that examines the experiences of families in which parents and children are profoundly different from one another in a variety of ways. The film explores expectations that parents put on their children and whether those expectations come from the children’s needs or the parents’ need to be seen as a “good parent.” (This film contains adult themes.)
