Mary had a stroke and also has a bone disease; it was becoming difficult for her to navigate the stairs to her home and had become a safety issue for her. She contacted Disability Network Southwest Michigan and through our Ramp Up program we were able to connect to resources and provide Mary with a ramp to her home.
Mary was very thankful to get a ramp and commented many times on how sturdy it is. She is now able to get out of the house and engage with her community without concerns of falling.
