DESCRIPTION:This presentation is intended for families/guardians. \n\n\n\nSection 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability – this includes students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). For students with a disability who are not eligible for an IEP\, a 504 plan provides equal access to the general education curriculum.
