Webinar: Disability Language & Etiquette

The language we use is powerful and can reveal hidden assumptions we might not realize we have. Our words can be hurtful even when well-intended. Disability Network is hosting a free webinar for human service professionals designed to allow participants to explore new ideas, ask questions in a safe environment and challenge some assumptions about what it means to live with a disability. Ableism shows up in our social work practice and organizations whether we intend it to or not; this webinar invites area professionals to learn new ways of thinking and talking about disability.
