
Disability Arts & Crafts Market Vendor Application
Disability Network Southwest Michigan believes all people deserve full access and inclusion in our programs and will make every effort to secure necessary accommodations for participants in our events. Please register as soon as possible if you will require an accommodation to participate.

Location: 1204 Bank Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001
Thank you for your interest in participating in the Disability Art & Craft Market. The market is part of our annual Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) celebration and will be one of many activities that day. This event celebrates artists and creators with disabilities and provides an opportunity to share and sell artwork with the community.
Examples of what can be sold include, but are not limited to:
- Paintings, drawings, and prints
- Handmade jewelry
- Pottery and ceramics
- Greeting cards and stationery
- Upcycled or repurposed crafts
- Self-published comics and zines
Fragrance-Reduced Event
To support attendees with chemical sensitivities, please limit or avoid strong fragrances when possible. This includes perfumes, colognes, and heavily scented products. Our goal is to create an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone. Thank you for being mindful of how fragrance can impact others.
Event Location & Parking
The event will take place at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market at 1204 Bank Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
Please park in the South Parking Lot. Vendor booths will be located under the West Shed Pavilion.
Fee
The vendor fee is $20 to help cover the event’s costs. If the cost is a barrier to participating, please reach out to Miranda Grunwell to discuss options.
Your vendor space is not reserved until both the completed application and payment have been received and confirmed by Miranda Grunwell.
Payment can be made via a secure online link provided to applicants after their application has been reviewed. If you cannot pay online for any reason, please get in touch with Miranda Grunwell for other payment options.
Vendor Information
Each vendor station will include one 8 ft x 4 ft table.
Tables have a mesh top and are fixed in place.
Vendors are responsible for bringing their own chairs.
Setup & Event Schedule
Vendor Setup: Friday, July 24, 2026, 10:30 AM – 11:20 AM
Vendor Check-In Deadline: 11:00 AM*
*Vendors who have not checked in by this time may not be able to participate.
Event Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Cleanup: Vendors must be fully cleaned up and gone by 3:00 PM.
Vendors are kindly requested to plan on being present for the full duration of the event. If you anticipate a scheduling conflict that may require an early exit, please contact Miranda Grunwell.
Eligibility
At least one artist/creator must be a person with a disability.
For this event, a disability is defined as: a physical, mental, or emotional condition that can make it harder to do one or more important activities in daily life.
Disabilities can be visible or non-apparent and may include things like chronic health conditions, mental health conditions, learning differences, diabetes, and much more.
Vendor Rules & Regulations
- All items for sale are of an artistic nature.
- Examples of items that may NOT be sold include: guns or firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons of any kind, tobacco or tobacco-related items, alcoholic beverages, or counterfeit merchandise of any kind.
- Event organizers reserve the right to restrict the sale of any item not deemed appropriate for the event. Some examples are:
- Items with hate speech, discriminatory language, or offensive imagery
. - Sexually explicit materials
- Items that promote violence or harassment
- Items with hate speech, discriminatory language, or offensive imagery
- Vendors are responsible for complying with all federal, state, and local sales tax regulations.
- Vendor booths may not be assigned, shared, or sublet to another vendor.
Vendor Space Guidelines
The following are not permitted in vendor spaces:
- Open flames
- Rugs, carpets, or floor coverings of any kind
Vehicles may NOT be driven into the Kalamazoo Farmers Market area under the shed space to unload or pack up.
All unloading must take place from the South Parking Lot.
You may be asked to leave if you do not follow the rules.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to participate, please contact Miranda Grunwell. Once an application is accepted, no refunds will be issued for any reason. Vendors are expected to remain at the event for the entire duration. Additional event information will be emailed to vendors approximately two weeks before the event.
