Kalamazoo Area Advocacy Teams:

Kalamazoo County Access Team

The Access team works on projects that improve accessibility for people with disabilities in Kalamazoo County and educates businesses and community leaders about barriers to full inclusion.

MEETS: 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The team is currently meeting online.

TAG Team

The Transportation Advocacy Group (TAG Team) monitors the day-to-day service of public transit in Kalamazoo County to ensure it complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

MEETS: 2nd Wednesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The team is currently meeting online.

Lake View Terrace Advocacy Group

LVT: Speak Up! | Speak Out

LVT Speak Up | Speak Out is an advocacy group for residents of Lake View Terrace in St. Joseph to develop and enhance self advocacy skills. The group meets twice a month. One meeting each month will focus on discussing residents’ concerns. The other meeting will present learning opportunities related to advocacy and community connections.

MEETS: 2nd Wednesday of each month, 2:00–3:00 PM. The group is currently meeting online.
