Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Michigan voters are being encouraged to cast their ballots absentee in upcoming May elections. The Secretary of State’s office mailed absentee ballots to all registered voters residing in a jurisdiction with a May 5 election.
Local clerks will also keep at least one polling place open for people who can’t vote by mail or want to vote in person, however, this is very likely NOT your normal poll location. In most cases, this is the clerk’s office. If you are planning to vote in-person, contact the clerk’s office in your district to learn where your voting location is. Each poling location must be accessible and have at least one accessible voting machine.
