Michael is very grateful to be able to sit outside now that he has a ramp that allows him to go outdoors independently. Michael has a cardiovascular disorder and is a wheelchair user. Through our Ramp Up program we were able to coordinate efforts with Harbor Habitat to build a ramp for him. Before the ramp was in place, Michael’s son had to carry him outside, and Michael would reserve that for when he needed to leave the house for appointments; so he was not able to get out to enjoy a nice day very often. Michael said. “It’s amazing being able to sit outside and soak up the sun and get some fresh air again.”
