Position: Independent Living Specialist – Battle Creek

This position provides services both 1-1 and in group format to youth in transition and adults with disabilities.  Services are provided in the areas of assessment, Independent Living (IL) skills training, self-advocacy, preparing for post-secondary success, workplace readiness training, job exploration, and follow-along supports. The IL Specialist works closely with vocational rehabilitation counselors to provide holistic, person-centered services to customers who have a goal of employment. The IL Specialist provides advocacy and information and referral services to meet customer’s needs to live as independently as desired in their community.  The IL Specialist provides services in community-based settings and in schools.

This is a full-time position based in Battle Creek. Wage depending on experience with a $15/hour minimum hourly starting wage.
